New Members

The game of bowls is suitable for boys and girls, men and women of all ages. The outdoor bowls season in this area starts around 20th April and ends around 10th September.

If you would like to try the game just drop in at the club on a Monday evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm where you are welcome to have a go. All you need is a pair of flat sole shoes; we will provide everything else. There is no particular dress code for the roll-ups on Monday club nights.

If you would like to play regularly then our club membership is not expensive. There is an annual membership fee of £35.00 for under 60s and £30.00 for over 60s. You then pay an additional £2.50 green fee for every match or competition that you play; there is no charge for the Monday club nights. Members of the bowls club must also join the Longstanton Sports and Social Club (LSSC) which gives access to the on-site bar facilities and to the various events organized by the LSSC. The annual membership fee for the Sports and Social club is around £10.00.

As a member of the club you can play on any of the club nights. If you would like to play competitively then you can also play in the Business Houses League, Cambridge and District League, Men's County Triples League, Ladies' County Triples League and the club competitions. With around 70 competitive matches to be played in the season, everyone gets the chance to play in these leagues if they want to.
